Every once in a great while, something, or someone, so unique and original rises up out of a local music scene and practically demands you stand up and take notice.  Such is the case with the Black Snake Bayou Band; a hearty group of seasoned musicians that call the Sarasota area home.  With infectious, danceable Southern grooves, they take you on a high wire journey through life as seen through the eyes of the renegade you want to be.  Where the good guy doesn't always win; and the rules don't always apply, and yet, truth and honor reign supreme.  Their songs are a musical gumbo of rock, blues, alternative country, and so much more.  Slightly dangerous?  You bet.  They just might make you rethink your favorites.
